Minchah Prayer 06-13-2018

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”

“Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days it shall come to pass that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew saying, ‘We will go with you; for we have heard that God is with you.’”

Father, we pray for our leaders and the leaders of other people that in the midst of the show, what is really happening is that Your Spirit and power are moving, that these people who hold office and power would have the same respect for their position that they expect we followers to have. We pray that their hearts would be for the protection and well being of the people they serve and all peoples. We pray they would experience and practice Your wisdom in their negotiations and decision making, motivated by Your command that we are to love one another.

Father, we pray for a heart that goes out to other peoples who inhabit this planet just like we do and to know they have needs just as we do, some greater. We pray for understanding and acceptance that the “deals” made must include their well being as well as ours.

Father, here where we live, we pray for a heart aware of and attentive to, those around us and the things they are experiencing. We pray for them to have health and wellbeing, happiness and a sense of being valued and loved. We pray this for our mates, our children, the friends whose love and loyalty have been so strong, for those not as close and for those who do not know You and are looking on, for those not looking on.

Father, we pray for the non-living things, that they would function as they were designed, to aid and serve in our daily lives. We thank You for our homes, and cars, and tools and we pray they last. We pray that we would not become slaves to them but them to us. We pray that the physical things of life and having them would not be the purpose of our lives. We thank You that we can pray to You about even these things.

But most importantly Father, we pray for You to always be near. We pray Father, that regardless of the influence and outcome of all the above, our greatest desire is to be loved by You, to be paying attention to You and doing what You want. Our great desire is to judge and know success and prosperity and safety by how pleased You are with us and not look to the world’s reactions for confirmation. We have confirmation and peace through faith and trust and being obedient to You.

Father, as we live our daily lives and strive to be pleasing to You and love one another, may we be and be seen as a people who know You, who run to and are gathered up to and under Your wings, safe and secure and cared for. May we be a people whom others take hold of and follow to You as we go because they know You are with us and they can have You and be Yours as well.

May you be praised and honored and glorified and loved Abba, dear Father.

In Yeshua’s name we pray,

Amen.
