Minchah Prayer 10-21-20

“…But if You reach out Your hand and touch whatever he has, without  doubt he’ll curse You to Your Face!…”  Job 1:11 CJB

“…This is what my adversaries want “Yahweh” to do, those who speak evil against me…

I have become the object of their taunts;

When they see me, they shake their heads…

let them go on cursing

but You, bless!

When they attack, let them be put to shame;

but let Your servant rejoice.

Let my adversaries be clothed with confusion,

let them wear their own shame like a robe…” Psalm 109:20,28-29 CJB.

And You, Yahweh, allowed the Adversary to “touch” Your servant Job to test him and prove his trust and faithfulness in the face of physical harm, loss of loved ones, loss of riches, criticism and loss of respect from those around him.

Nevertheless he was victorious in glorifying You and shaming the Accuser.

Abba, we Your children, faithful and errant ones… Jehovah God… we need You now.

We appear to have become “poor and needy, weak kneed and confused before the taunts and accusations and actions of the Accuser through those who love his ways and those who are deceived into accepting that his ways have justification.

We remain passive and silent against the discord within our marriages, our families, our interactions with others… discord within our communities, organizations, institutions… our nation, our relationship with You. We fear and back off. We accept and adjust… enabling those who would destroy to continue to do to us and others what seems right in their own minds, when instead we should be facing off against them and holding them accountable.

We seem more willing Father… to conform to the image of Israel in the wilderness and return to Egypt and accept  ?the comfort and peace?  we think we gain through tolerance… though it is really submissiveness and enslavement… than adhering and sticking to Your righteous ways, willing to press ahead, trusting You and Your promises.

 We seem to be unwilling to do battle, get dirty, sweaty and beat up… to get laughed at, condescended to, disregarded… in order to protect what You have given… the right and good You want for us, not just now, but in the future as well.

May the value of our faithfulness to You, the value of our families and our community, be of such importance to us that we be willing to humble ourselves in prayer to You Father… for nothing should be, nothing is, more important to us than these… not our self gratification, not our comfort, our convenience, our image, our own safety.

And You Father are our first and only weapon for protecting and preserving these. Without You the battle is lost.

May we be willing to, and without reservation or hesitation, do as You lead, without fear.

May our adversaries be convicted and repentant or may they be

“…clothed with confusion,

let them wear their own shame like a robe…”

May You be glorified.

In Yeshua’s name Father we pray,

Amen.

“If My people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14 AKJV

“…Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee wherever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 AKJV

Halleluyah!!!
