Minchah Prayer 10-10-18

“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving-kindness; according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me “thoroughly” from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.”

Father, You bless us so. A man turns and looks at his wife, feels her warmth, hears the sound of her voice and recalls in his mind the good she does him and his heart it moved.

When she is sick or hurts or struggles it is in his heart to take these things away, to fix everything so that it’s alright.

His children are there before him growing, learning and making decisions. He wants to provide for them, make things easier for them than they were for him, protect them and prevent the hardships and pain they will inevitably experience.

He sees the troubles and hardships friends and neighbors and people far away suffer. What can be done, Father?

People are drifting, turning away from You Abba.

The milk of human kindness has soured and men are becoming hard hearted, saying and doing hateful things to one another.

Where is the prayer to You, the seeking Your will and wisdom. Where is the putting aside of our own anger and denying our appetite to punish, in favor of a coming together with a common goal to make things right?

He sees the misuse of our system of governance by our leaders, and doesn’t know what of what he is being told he can believe.

It’s a fearful thing to be a man, Father. We are weak and corruptible. The good we want to do and the way we would do it does not bring about healing or taking away pain or fix things. It is our wisdom and it doesn’t work. We see that and now Father, what are we to do?

Your wisdom Father is that there is trouble and pain. Sometimes we bring it on ourselves, sometimes others do, but we will and we need to experience it and understand we are powerless to stop the consequences in our own power.

Out of love and care, out of anger and violence a man cannot make it all better. Some things must be experienced in order for people to learn, to mature, to turn to the One who can fix anything and trust in Him.

A man can only do the good You instruct him to do for himself and for others, then he can only watch and wait and be a companion. Every single, individual person has to live what life and their own decisions deal them. It will be what brings them to You Oh Lord.

We need You Father. We can do nothing good without You.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.”

May we turn and cling to You as we look upon our wives and children our friends and our nation Father.

In Yeshua’s name we pray,

Amen.
