I’m thankful for the people I know and have had the opportunity to come into contact with over the years.
The experiences have been mixed of course. There are those you are glad to see come and those you are glad to see go. And some you wish you could have around forever.
But in each instance, and it’s important to take advantage of this, in each instance there is something to be learned. There is take away, there is gain if one is open to it.
Collectively we have seen and done it all. Individually we have not. When we are in a place where we don’t know what we’re doing or don’t know what to do next, there is someone out there that has been there, done that. And many times our Father brings us together.
Many times He has done so after we acknowledge to Him our need. We are needy even though we don’t like to admit it. Sometimes we are even willing to stay in a place of need and fumble about rather than go seeking help.
There is a scripture kind of about that seeking thing.
“For what great nation is there that has God as close to them as Adonai our God is, whenever we call on Him?” Deuteronomy 4:7 CJB
“Whenever we call on Him” implies to me that we need Him, I need Him. We need Him because He knows everything and we don’t. But we need to know in order to get things right. And even having knowledge… we don’t and He does… have the power to get things done.
God is close to us. He is close when we call on Him, pray. Recognizing need leads us to prayer and prayer to closeness.
We can be great. We can be great when we humble ourselves, call on Him, have Him close.
So it is I think, with people, those we have known, know and have yet to know. If we are curious enough and humble enough, care enough, we can learn the many lessons our Father wants to teach us because He uses other people in daily life to teach us about His Ways and in so learning, provide an opportunity to be more like Him and practice them.
So this week I think I have continued to learn that I don’t know so much, that there are others who know a lot, and whether it is laying a water pipe to a house or coming to a better understanding of a scripture out of my Father’s Word, I can increase if I am willing to seek and to learn from others. I can conduct myself in a way pleasing to Him.
Thank You Father, that You have given us to each other for teaching and helping and that together we can call on You and know that You are close.
Your desire is for good.
Thank You so much.
In Yeshua’s name we pray,
May God’s love be in us all.
