Torah Class is an online study site featuring Old Testament, Bible and Torah study for Messianic Jews and Christians. The site provides Torah studies in several formats: streaming audio, audio downloads and text. The lessons focus on the Hebrew roots of Christianity.

Welcome to Torah Class, a place of common ground for Christians and Jews.

TORAH is the Hebrew Biblical word for
the first five books of the Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Torah means "teaching" or "instruction", not Law. The Hebrew Scriptures are the foundation of the New Testament.

We are very likely in the prophesied “End Times”, whereby Israel and the Jewish people are central to all that will unfold. The coming of Messiah Yeshua cannot be far away. Whether gentile Christian or Messianic Jewish, our knowledge of what to expect and how to prepare is more important than ever. Yahweh, Jehovah, is the God of Israel.

Since the Bible was written by Hebrews,
it is critical to understand their ancient culture and to learn about the many unique Hebrew words, expressions, and idioms found in Scripture. So, Torah Class presents the Old Testament in depth, verse-by-verse, with an interdisciplinary Hebrew Roots approach; it employs Christian and Jewish theology, Bible history, linguistics, archeology, and Egyptology.

Now we will change gears a bit and survey some of the other witnesses from first century Palestine to see what they can tell us about the linguistic situation of that time. This is a bit of a departure from the previous three articles, which dealt primarily with Biblical language.
