Minchah Prayer 09-20-17

Yahweh, great and mighty one, we sound the shofar and from one end of the world to the other in convocation, in unity of body and spirit we stop what we are doing and we remember.

We remember that You brought light into darkness.

We remember that from nothing You made all that is.

We remember that You breathed life into dust.

We remember that it was good.

We remember that we chose to stray and ended up in the house of bondage and death.

We remember that You took us by the hand and brought us out of that house, to Your very Self at the mountain.

We remember being consecrated and washing ourselves in preparation.

We remember the thick cloud, the smoke, the fire and the sound of the shofar that made the mountain shake and us tremble, as You came to us and made covenant with us and we with You.

We remember that You chose us and we came to be Your “own treasure from among all the peoples”, that we became “a kingdom of priests” for You, “a nation set apart.”

We remember that You foretold the coming of a prophet to whom we must listen, who would herald in a time of refreshing and restoration, and He came.

We remember that He redeemed us, took us by the hand and lead us out of the house of bondage and death, those of us who so ever would and will, who are in covenant with Him.

We remember that we are consecrated and cleansed and set apart, His, Yours.

We remember that we are to be found trusting and doing His work, preparing ourselves because:

We remember that it was foretold and it will happen, that He will come again, “down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God’s shofar …”

We remember that He said and He will do it, He is preparing a dwelling for us and He will gather us to Himself that where He is, there we may be also.

We remember, Father, and in that remembrance is our encouragement, our certain hope and our joy.

May You be blessed by the shouts of our shofars and this time of reminiscing with You.

In Yeshua’s name we pray,

Amen.
